Welcome To ItsMyBizniz

Its My Bizniz is a weblog of Chameleon Integration Systems. My motto for Chameleon is “making the internet easier” for internet publishing success. I am not a marketer, but when it comes to the various and sundry things that an Intrepreneur (Internet entrepreneur) has to learn about setting up and running a website, there is a fair bit I can write about. And that’s exactly what this weblog is about: running a business online.

Here are just a few of the topic areas I’ll cover here, over time:

  1. Do you even need a website?
  2. Free domain names.
  3. Checking the availability of a domain name.
  4. Registering a domain name.
    • How many years should you register, and why.
    • Should you auto-renew your domain name.
    • How to register a domain name.
  5. Finding an Internet host for your website.
    • Budget and advanced plans: what’s the difference, and what should you get?
  6. Traffic analysis software: do you need it?
  7. Weblogging.
    • What is a blog/ weblog?
    • Should you blog?
    • Will a blog help your business?
    • What is a podcast?
    • Should you podcast?
  8. Shopping carts.
    • What are shopping carts, and do you need one for your business?
    • Do you need a merchant account to sell on the Internet.
  9. Other revenue streams.
    • Advertising revenue.
    • Selling affiliate products.
    • Selling e-reports, e-books, ezine subscriptions.
    • Selling merchandise.
  10. Promoting your online business.
    • How do you get traffic to your website?
    • How do you keep traffic coming to your website?

This weblog is a replacement to my older Internet Marketing Basics weblog, which has been inactive for a while. Please note that there may be some overlap. This weblog will of course be much more current. As well, I have a few guest writers lined up who have marketing and advertising experience.

I’ll cover as many related topics as I can come up with. As this will
be a resource for anyone who is absolutely new to doing business on the
Internet, I’d like you to feel free and ask questions. Just drop a
comment on any of the articles, and I’ll do my best to respond in a
timely manner.

Can You Earn A Living Online?
Short answer: yes. I'm doing it. So are others. The hard part is, it takes time. I took me nearly a year because I didn't know about real opportunities. So, in the spirit of this site, I'll teach you what I know + what I learn along the way. For free. No tricks. But if you're not serious, find something else to do. Because patience and knowledge makes a difference. Note: This is not another "internet marketing" site. It's about actual opportunities, what they are, and how to find them. Yes, marketing yourself online will be a part of the process, but it's not about selling software to people to teach them to sell software. Get my meaning?
